Some of you might know me from the international version of ViaRETRO, which has sadly come to an end. I have now joined the Danish site, which despite the occasionally interesting translation that my laptop gives me from the original Danish, I can mostly make sense of :-).
I think the easiest way for me to introduce myself and my current all-German classics is by linking to an article I wrote a few months ago for ViaRETRO International.

Our Cars – An Expensive End to the Summer

Over the next couple of months I am in Valencia, and while here, the Porsche and Mercedes are having work done to them to make them ready for what I hope will be a great classic season. The 280CE in particular is needing attention to paintwork and a leak that I discovered just a couple of weeks ago; the 911 is getting new torsion bar bushes which I hope will improve the ride and eliminate some ugly noises from underneath the car, as well as getting it’s cold-starting problem fixed. The BMW is sitting in the garage waiting for a new owner…

Looking forward to enjoying being part of Klub ViaRETRO!

    Dear Tony

BIG time and a very warm welcome to the Danish site of ViaRETRO … and BIG time thanks for having been such a great part of keeping ViaRETRO’s “international era” (aka our English site) alive for many years 🔝♥️📝♥️🔝
Luckily all contributions – not least yours – will kinda “keep on living” … it will only be as archived articles though, but I’m sure many classic car enthusiasts will still use and appreciate this opportunity BIG time 😁
I don’t know if it ever would be a possibility for you to visit Denmark with (one of … at a time 🙃) your classics – I’m keeping my fingers crossed for that 🤞 And in case it’ll happen, I sincerely hope you even might be able to plan it in a way, that means you maybe also could join one (or more) of the events/day trips we have planned for members of “Klub VaRETRO” (see all planned events and dates here: https://viaretro.dk/klub-viaretro/) … it would definitely be a pleasure for all of us to meet you “in real life” as well as it has been/is “in cyber life” 😊

Many warm regards, Gitte (Sehested Lund) aka EB 👩‍🦰

    PS:
I’m a freelance photographer of classic cars, incl. at ViaRETRO events … if interested, you can see my classic car blogs here:

Hello Gitte, and thank you so much for the warm words and welcome! I’m looking forward to being an active member of Klub ViaRETRO and also hope that one day I’ll be able to attend one of the events in Denmark! I used to be in Copenhagen regularly on business some years ago, but it’s been a while since the last time I was there. I will also definitely check out your blog and photographs!
    Thanks again, and warmest regards,
    Tony

    Hey Tony,

Welcome onboard to the Danish site. Besides the language, it really shouldn’t feel too foreign for you, seeing as you’ve been such an integral part of ViaRETRO for the past many years. On that topic, once again a huge THX! for your many contributions! So glad that you plan on keeping us up-to-date on some of the more international events in the UK. I miss being able to attend them, so reading your reports will be a welcome substitute. And as Gitte said, wouldn’t it be cool if either your 280CE or the 911T could bring you on a roadtrip to Denmark at some point. Fingers crossed! ;-)

Hi Anders, thank you my friend! Looking forward to checking out the Scandi site and to making the occasional contribution – hope to see you at a UK event again soon, maybe Hampton Court?

    Hey Tony,
Valencia – interesting. I have a good friend that is a classic classic card nerd too and has an apartment in Valencia too. Maybe you know some more about the scene down and around Valencia?

@holmen – we were only staying in Valencia for a couple of months, so I’m afraid the Classic Legends event is my only experience of the classic car scene there, sorry!
