The corrosion issue will of course be more or less the same regardless of model year, @tony-wawryk. But as I understand it, your car has been affected by several electrical problems. I’m dealing with the same thing in my ‘new’ Porsche 911, which also has issues with the electric windows. The old one had manual winders, and there was never anything wrong …

@tony-wawryk, I don’t actually know the young man that well, but his dad is an amiable guy who has friends, so I would assume the offspring is allright too. However don’t forget that there are advantages to having a two-seater as well: You’re never the one to drive all the mates to the concert/game/race/whatever…

@tony-wawryk, today I overtook the horrible newest Hyundai Santa Fe, that DOES look like it is designed out of LEGO. And no, it doesn’t work, so I guess you are right.

@tony-wawryk, to Danes LEGO is a definate positive word :-). As opposed to that those statistics of the 156 are absolutely horrifying! Now the big question is: Will it be better 20-25 years later? The optimist in me says “of course: Someone will have fixes the issues”…

I fully understand you @tony-wawryk! I would have loved to be brought to School in a Sunbeam Rapier Series IV too. With the Raymond Loewy design Sunbeam Rapier Series IV and its predecessors from Series I are really great looking cars.

Good point and interesting with the three blade system on Jaguar E-Type you are mentioning @tony-wawryk . It solves the problem with a relatively wide windscreen in combination with a low height.
