I hvert fald ikke i […] Vis@ce – re the VW use of wind names, yes, I was aware – my point was more that in the case of the Golf (and Passat, Bora, since you mention them) the cars do not reflect the names in any way, whereas with Maserati, they do. At least, that’s how I see it.

However, the big bumpers kill the styling for me, and there is another consideration – the Audi is exceptionally practical for a stylish – and it is stylish – coupe. Maybe I didn’t express myself very well, but it was because the Danish award focused on a particular type of cars that I thought the contrast with the European award was interesting.

I do miss those NEC shows! Really must get back to the UK and revisit one day.
Love the Gordon Keeble GK1 and the AC Aceca. Two of my all-time favourites! And that little blue Rochdale Olympic makes me feel pretty bad about having sold mine back when we departed the UK. Oh well…
